Being a brow model is an exciting, rewarding experience! Not only will you get beautiful new brows at the end of your treatment, but you’ll also save up to a huge 80%!
Our model treatments are carried out by our highly trained students who are coming to the end of their assessment process. They are performed under the watchful eyes of our highly experienced Elite Artist-Trainers in a safe, professional training environment.
Sounds great, right? But before coming a model, there are a few things that you’ll need to consider…
1. Your brow past
If you have had permanent makeup or microblading performed on your brows in the past, they might not be quite right for a model treatment. When looking for models, our ideal person will have untouched brows completely free of permanent makeup. However, if your previous tattoo work has vastly faded, you might be a great fit. Our models’ team will usually ask you to send them a few photographs of your brows (makeup-free) to determine whether we’d be able to work on them.
2. Your availability
Model treatments can take longer to perform as they are carried out by students who are undertaking an assessment. Although our students are highly trained and experienced, we allow extra time for them to work at a slower pace under the expert guidance of our Elite Artist-Trainers. This is to ensure that the treatment is carried out safely, professionally and responsibly. If you don’t have enough spare time in the day to be able to commit to a couple of hours for your treatment, then this won’t be a great option for you.
3. Your health
Your health can play a huge part in whether you are suitable for a permanent makeup or microblading treatment. For example, if you are undergoing chemotherapy, have health conditions like heart disease or a blood-borne virus, you would not be suitable for a treatment whilst you have the condition. Some medications can also affect your treatment such as Isotretinoin (commonly called Accutane), Warfarin and Aspirin. These are just a few examples – our models team will be able to discuss a more thorough list of total contraindications with you if you are at all unsure.
4. Your expectations
Brow treatments can heal differently on each individual person depending on several factors such as skin type, the pigments chosen and whether the aftercare advice is followed. Brow treatments are taken over the course of two appointments- the first appointment is where your initial consultation takes place, the shape and colour of your brows is determined, and the pigment is applied to create your beautiful new brows. A second appointment follows within 4 – 6 weeks which is for re-touching – this is where your technician will make any colour adjustments needed or fill in any gaps where the pigment may have lightened or not retained within the skin.
5. Your plans before and after your treatment
You will be given thorough advice on what to do after your treatment to get the absolute best results for your new brows. This includes advice such as ensuring that your brows are kept clean and dry, avoiding makeup throughout the healing process and avoiding direct sunlight to your brows. It’s not a great idea to go to the gym or swimming straight after your treatment as it can severely impact the healing process. You will also need to avoid waxing and tinting treatments right before your treatment and until your brows have healed. Our models team will be able to give you a thorough understanding of the best process to follow to get the desired end results.
